RULES:

  1. The Trunk Market is a non-commercial event aimed at providing a form of socialising and leisure time for participants.
  2. A participant in the Trunk Market is a natural person whose participation in the Trunk Market is not a commercial-economic activity and as a natural person, he is not self-employed and the income from it is not the main source of income.
  3. During the Trunk Market , the participant must pay the specified participant fee to the organisers of the luggage market – UAB Urmo prekybos miestelis.
  4. During the Trunk Market , participants come and present from or near the trunk of their cars the second-hand but no longer needed items of various kinds or of a single kind, to be exchanged or sold for an agreed price.
  5. It is the responsibility of the participant in the Trunk Market to keep their items clean, harmless and safe.
  6. A participant in Trunk Market is FORBIDDEN during the sale:

– to sell items that have been acquired illegally.

– to sell items whose retail sale or supply is prohibited by law or regulation.

– to sell items for which retail sale or supply is licensed.

– to sell non-animal food products – these are products derived from plants and/or parts of plants and used for food: plants and parts thereof, cereals, edible vegetables, edible fruit, berries, mushrooms and products made from them.

– to sell animal foods – foods derived and/or produced from animals: manufactured products, milk and milk products, poultry eggs, natural honey.

  1. The participant of the Trunk Market is obliged to follow the rules of public order, fire protection rules, maintain cleanliness and comply with hygiene norms.
  2. Trunk Market opening days: if the Urmo prekybos miestelis is open, so is the Trunk Market (even if the working hours of Urmo prekybos miestelis are shorter). If the Urmo prekybos miestelis is closed, so is the Trunk Market. The Trunk Market is always chargeable.
  3. It is strictly forbidden to tie down tables (racks) in the Trunk Market .
  4. It is strictly forbidden to leave cars/vans at the Trunk Market after sale.

A popular market where unwanted things find new owners

Car boot sale or market is a place where people come to sell various unwanted items and trade from their own car boots. It is not a place for market traders who make a living out if it, but rather for those who wish to sell or exchange things they no longer need in their homes a few times a year. Particularly exciting time is spring clear out period, when it seems everyone wants to make space in their garages and attics.

In car boot sale you can find everything from household items, clothing, paintings, gardening items, to antiques and collectibles. Novice artists are also encouraged to trade here.

Car boot sale in Urmas starts at 8:00am and ends around 3:00pm almost every weekend. Dates for 2018 are:

    • October 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28.
    • November 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25.
    • December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30.

Attendace fee for salesmen is 7 Eur for 1 parking spot
